Jieshi Village is well known for its 72
wells in such a small village. It is 80 kilometers away from west 5th
ring road of Beijing. Basically, Beijing package tour
will not include hotel metropolitan tokyo in their travel itinerary as it is not a popular
destination. However, it would be fun if you wish to find out the reason why
the village has so many wells.
Jieshi Village is in fact situated in the hillside at Mentougou District, Beijing. It was said that the village was first founded during Jin Dynasty. The village was originally named as Sancha Village and later, as the village has too many stones and rocks, it was then renamed as Jieshi Village.
As the village is built along the hillside,
transportation link is not good here.
There are many old wells here in the
village. Besides that, old temples are also quite a few here. I think that I
should suggest Beijing bus tour
to organize trip to citadines shinjuku tokyo as I love the peaceful surrounding here.
Some of the wells are still using
traditional way to collect clear water from the ground.
Everything is old here, the door,
architectural design, the well and the people.
Since the village is hidden further inside,
there is no school here and no other transportation method except by foot.
There are about 160 families who are still staying here. Most of the youngster
have left the village to pursue better life.
